PPC Management:
In terms of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), there's a lot of different techniques that can be implemented (such as internal and external linking, content optimisation and social media marketing) and around the internet, these techniques come with different opinions. But what actually works? And what should be used together?
- Is just SEO enough? A lot of people argue that SEO alone is enough to raise rankings, technically this is true although it would be better in the long run to make use of other services and methods such as Pay Per Click (PPC). PPC is a service provided by Google designed to encourage the shared advertising of it's users.
- How does it work? PPC works on
the basis that you can get paid money for hosting other people's
adverts on your site. If you want to have your advert on other
user's sites then it will cost you based on the amount of clicks
the advert receives. Hence the name "pay per click". This means
that you only ever pay when you're getting traffic through to
your site. This is one of the selling points of PPC. A lot of
Search
Engine Optimisation companies will try and convince you that
PPC is nothing but a bidding war (because you have to bid with
other users to place your advert in the ideal places. This is
what determines the cost per click or also known as CPC) although
PPC and SEO can work very well together.
In actual fact, a PPC Marketing campaign can be optimised! It's important that the advert you write contains relevant keywords while still reading well in order to make the most of the money you're spending to get it there. The aim of a well thought out PPC campaign is to be getting more clicks and money out of hosting an advert than it's costing you to have yours hosted. It's not completely false when people say that PPC is a bidding war because if your PPC management isn't run correctly by a professional and expert company such as Weblinx.

- Where are the adverts placed? The pay per click management must know what they're doing otherwise your pay per click marketing campaign can cost you an absolute fortune and can in fact become a bidding war. Weblinx have worked with PPC for years and have a proven track record in the field. The main positive factor of PPC is that your sponsored ads can placed right at the top of Google (just above the natural search results) which means usually it's the first site that a user would see upon entering their query. As previously mentioned, the adverts can be placed on the websites of other users. These websites must always be relevant to the advert otherwise there'll be a very low click rate.
- How much security is there? Another advantage is the support and security that Google offer with this process. For example, some internet users thought that they could game Google by hosting adverts on their site and just asking their friends, family and colleagues to click on the adverts so they would receive money from the clicks. Google may be a robot, but it's a lot more aware of this and other similar cons then people think and will instantly notice this and take the money away before the criminal could even touch it.
